T.J. Hall represents the archetype of an Iowa defensive back-fundamentally sound, physically tough, and scheme-reliable. The 6'0", 190-pound cornerback earned Third Team All-Big Ten honors in 2025 after a productive final season that showcased his strengths as a run defender and zone coverage player. Hall arrived at Iowa as a three-star recruit and developed steadily within the Hawkeyes' defensive system, culminating in a 2025 campaign where he recorded 67 tackles, 2 interceptions, and an impressive 10 pass breakups. His PFF grades tell the story of his strengths: an elite 86.5 run defense grade and a solid 77.8 coverage grade with an exceptional 41.7% completion rate allowed when targeted. What makes Hall intriguing is his ability to diagnose plays quickly and his willingness to support the run-traits that Iowa's defense demands of its corners.
