Be A GM - the NFL GM simulator

How the offseason and grades work & FAQ

Take over any of the 32 teams and run a full league year against the real numbers: your actual 2026 cap sheet, real contracts, real dead money. Cut or restructure to make room, trade with 31 AI front offices, sign free agents at market prices, draft all 7 rounds, and trim to the final 53. Then the season plays out and tells you whether the plan worked. Free, in the browser.

How the grades work

Every move is scored against the model, not against vibes. Cuts and restructures are graded on cap savings computed from the contract itself. Trades are graded by a value model calibrated on hundreds of real NFL trades, with quarterbacks priced at a premium the way real front offices price them. Signings are graded against the market rate for the position and age, and draft picks against the consensus board. At the end you get a full offseason grade plus a simulated record for the roster you actually built.

Frequently asked questions

Is the NFL GM simulator free?

Yes. Pick any of the 32 teams and run a full offseason - cap cuts, trades, free agency, the draft, and final cuts - without an account. A free account raises the daily limit, and Pro removes it.

Does it use real salary cap data?

Yes. Every team starts from its real 2026 cap sheet: actual contracts, cap hits, and dead money. When you cut or restructure a player, the savings are computed the way a real front office would compute them.

Can I make trades?

Yes. Trade players and picks with AI front offices using a value model calibrated against hundreds of real NFL trades. The other 31 teams will also come to you with offers, and you can walk away from any of them.

What modes can I play?

Two. Full Season starts in February and runs the whole calendar: cap cuts, trades, free agency, the draft, final cuts, then the season. Current State drops you into wherever the real NFL calendar sits today and plays forward from there. You can anchor either one to 2025, 2026, or 2027.

How are my moves graded?

Every move is scored against the model: cap efficiency on cuts and restructures, value gained or lost on trades, market price on signings, and pick value in the draft. At the end you get a full offseason grade plus a simulated season record for the roster you built.

Can I run more than one season?

Each run covers one league year, and you choose which: 2025 as a historical run, 2026 as the current baseline, or 2027 as a forward projection. Finish one, grade it, then start the next.
