A'Mauri Washington
Draft Movement
Holding at #14 since Jun 8
Scouting Report
A'Mauri Washington has emerged as one of the biggest risers in the 2026 draft cycle after a breakout junior campaign at Oregon, living in opposing backfields after two quiet seasons buried behind eventual NFL picks Derrick Harmon, Jordan Burch and Jamaree Caldwell. Listed at 6'3", 330 pounds, the Detroit native is a rare combination of mass and movement skill, which earned him a spot at No. 4 on Bruce Feldman's 2025 Freaks List. Bleacher Report's Matt Holder grades him as a 2nd-round Key Contributor (7.7), pegs him at No. 37 overall and DL3, and tags him with a Dontari Poe pro comparison. His tape pops with a quick get-off and explosive penetration when slanting, and he has the strength to anchor one-on-ones, stand linemen up and hold his gap as a true two-gapper. What separates him from typical 330-pound interior plugs is the lateral agility to cross blockers' faces and finish in the adjacent gap, effectively taking away two rushing lanes at once. He projects with rare alignment versatility for his size, capable of playing anywhere from 4i to shade nose. He is still a developing pass rusher whose ceiling depends on a complete hand-usage overhaul, but the traits, frame and 2025 production point to a high-floor disruptor on Day 2 with starter upside in any front.
