Lachey is an athletic tight end with excellent size and developing all-around skills. He displays good movement ability for his size, running fluid routes and showing burst after the catch. As a receiver, Lachey presents a large catch radius and demonstrates reliable hands, consistently plucking the ball away from his body. In the blocking game, he shows competitive toughness and improving technique, using his length and strength effectively at the point of attack. Lachey demonstrates good awareness in finding soft spots in zone coverage and has the speed to threaten the seam. He plays with high effort and energy on every snap.
