STM Take
Bowers at STTM #5 tier 2 in 2025 (down from #3 tier 1 as a rookie) is the rare year-two slide for a first-team All-Pro. The 12 games played and Raiders' tier-7 QB rank (Geno Smith at #40, then traded back to NYJ for 2026) capped what should have been a tier-1 sophomore season. The 43.3 PPR Week 9 spike confirms the talent is intact.
Bowers was born in Napa, California, attended Napa High, and was a two-time John Mackey Award winner at Georgia plus a two-time CFP national champion (2021, 2022). Las Vegas took him 13th overall in the 2024 NFL Draft. He was first-team All-Pro as a rookie in 2024, has made two Pro Bowls (2024, 2025), and named to the AP All-Time All-American first team in 2024.
Strengths
- First-team All-Pro and AP All-Time All-American first team as a rookie in 2024; the resume tier is locked from day one.
- 43.3 PPR Week 9 ceiling and a 22.3 Week 13; the talent has not regressed.
Concerns
- 12 games played in 2025; durability is now a question after a clean rookie campaign.
- Las Vegas QB ecosystem is fragile heading into 2026; Bowers's tier-1 case rides on the QB tier.
What to watch: Whether Geno Smith's NYJ move opens the door for the Raiders to draft a tier-3-or-better QB in 2026; Bowers needs a real QB to reclaim tier 1.
