Eric McAlister 2026 NFL Draft Profile | WR from TCU
Scouting Report
Eric McAlister turned in one of the most impressive breakout seasons in recent TCU history, transforming from a talented complementary piece into one of the nation's premier deep threats and the clear number one option in Fort Worth. The Azle, Texas native's path to stardom began at Boise State, where he redshirted in 2021 before averaging an eye-popping 23.55 yards per catch on 11 receptions and four scores as a redshirt freshman. He broke out as a sophomore with 47 catches for 873 yards and five touchdowns across nine games before transferring to TCU ahead of 2024. Despite joining a loaded receiver room featuring Savion Williams, Jack Bech, and JP Richardson, McAlister carved out a significan't role with 39 receptions for 762 yards and five touchdowns while leading the nation in first-down catch percentage at 89.7 percent. Everything clicked during his redshirt senior year. With Williams and Bech gone to the NFL, McAlister became quarterback Josh Hoover's primary target and responded with one of the best receiving seasons in TCU history: 72 catches for 1,190 yards-second-most ever by a Horned Frog-and 10 touchdowns. His 254-yard, three-touchdown performance against SMU stands as the second-best single-game receiving total in program history. At 6'3", 205 pounds with a projected 4.52 40-yard dash, McAlister has an NFL-ready frame with impressive explosiveness for a bigger receiver. He profiles as a complementary receiver who can develop into a legitimate number two option with the right coaching, excelling in offenses that emphasize vertical concepts and one-on-one matchups.
