Max Iheanachor 2026 NFL Draft Profile | OT from Arizona State
Scouting Report
Max Iheanachor is a raw but tantalizing offensive tackle prospect whose unique athletic background and elite movement skills make him one of the most intriguing developmental linemen in the 2026 NFL Draft class. Born in Nigeria in 2002, Iheanachor spent his first thirteen years mastering soccer before his family relocated to Los Angeles, where basketball became his obsession. Standing 6'6" with the footwork of a midfielder, he dominated as a small forward at King Drew Medical High School-a campus that didn't even field a football team. His transformation to football didn't begin until 2021 when an AAU basketball coach convinced him his frame belonged on the gridiron. The rapid ascent caught major programs' attention-247Sports ranked him seventh among all JUCO prospects. At Arizona State, Iheanachor started 14 games at right tackle in 2024 and five during the injury-plagued 2023 season, where he didn't surrender a single sack on 200+ pass-blocking snaps. His 2024 campaign saw him man his post for 923 of Arizona State's 974 offensive snaps while helping pave the way for Cam Skattebo's Heisman-worthy season. His zone-blocking prowess ranked 38th nationally among tackles, and he was the engine behind a Big 12 championship run. At 6'6", 330 pounds with elite movement skills from his soccer and basketball background, Iheanachor displays impressive grip strength and block framing with timing that suggests high pass protection upside.
