Noah Whittington 2026 NFL Draft Profile | RB from Oregon
Scouting Report
Noah Whittington is a compact running back from Oregon who brings excellent ball security and the ability to navigate through traffic despite a smaller frame. At 5-8 and 203 pounds Whittington is a redshirt senior who transferred from Western Kentucky and produced 1515 career rushing yards with 14 touchdowns along with 53 receptions for 312 yards and 3 receiving touchdowns across his Oregon career. His most notable trait is exceptional ball security with just one fumble on over 400 career carries which is an elite ratio for the position. He can get skinny through traffic using his smaller build to slip through creases and find running lanes that larger backs cannot access. Whittington is recognized as one of the best pass blockers in the running back class providing third-down value that keeps him on the field in obvious passing situations. His 2025 season was his most productive with 829 rushing yards and 6 touchdowns on 129 carries. However Whittington will be one of the oldest prospects in the 2026 class dating back to the 2020 recruiting cycle and his top-end speed is below average for the NFL level. He suffered an ACL tear in 2023 raising durability concerns and his rushing efficiency metrics including missed tackles forced per attempt and yards after contact per attempt are very low over the last four seasons per PFF. He is often overpowered in contact situations and his limited receiving production suggests he may not develop into a true three-down back. His size limits his ceiling and he profiles as a Day Three or late-round prospect.
