STM Take

Jacobs at STTM #15 tier 4 in 2025 (down from #12 tier 3 in 2024) closes a three-year stretch since the 2022 All-Pro peak: tier 8, tier 3, tier 4. The 2022 rushing crown remains the high-water mark, with 74 career rushing TDs and 7,803 yards as the resume floor. The age-28 GB-year-two profile is no longer a clear top-10 case.

Jacobs was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma and experienced homelessness in middle school, a story he later featured in a Super Bowl LIV Kia commercial. He attended McLain High and was part of Alabama's 2017 national title roster. Oakland took him 24th overall in the 2019 NFL Draft. He led the NFL in rushing yards in 2022 (1,653) and was first-team All-Pro that year. He has made three Pro Bowls and signed with Green Bay in 2024.

Strengths

  • Career 7,803 rushing yards and 74 rushing TDs through seven seasons, plus the 2022 NFL rushing title and first-team All-Pro.
  • 269 career receptions for 2,072 yards adds a PPR floor that pure between-the-tackles backs in this range lack.

Concerns

  • Three-rank slide from 2024 to 2025; the trajectory is going the wrong way and his 2025 game log includes three sub-5 PPR weeks.
  • 4.2 career YPC is the lowest among all the established top-15 starters; the efficiency profile is not the case.

What to watch: Whether the Packers commit to a true lead-back workload in 2026 or split touches with their younger backfield options.
