Dae'Quan Wright 2026 NFL Draft Profile | TE from Ole Miss
Scouting Report
Dae'Quan Wright is a physically imposing tight end whose elite blocking ability makes him one of the most complete Y tight ends in the 2026 class. At 6-4 and 250 pounds he is trusted by Ole Miss to block SEC-caliber defensive ends one-on-one in both the run and pass game including matchups against top pass rushers like Mykel Williams. His pass protection is exceptional with a unique ability to set mirror and anchor like a tackle against edge rushers. Wright also possesses surprising athleticism with quick feet legitimate long speed and acceleration that make him both a quality route runner and YAC threat. Through four games in 2025 he had 8 receptions for 213 yards averaging 26.6 yards per catch which led the nation among tight ends. Lane Kiffin's spread offense does not naturally feature the tight end which suppresses Wright's receiving production and makes it harder for evaluators to assess his full pass-catching ceiling. Remember the Tight Ends called him one of the very best TEs in the country arguing Ole Miss does not fully know what they have. He projects as a Day 3 selection in the round 4 range but his blocking alone guarantees an NFL role and his receiving upside in a pro-style offense could push that ceiling significantly higher.
