Omar Cooper Jr. emerged as one of college football's toughest and most clutch wide receivers during the 2025 season, serving as a fearless competitor and proven versatile target in Indiana's explosive offense. At 6'0", 201 pounds, the former four-star recruit combines vertical burst with exceptional contact balance, giving him true three-level playmaking ability. Cooper is a compactly built receiver who excels working over the middle of the field on digs, crossers, and slant routes, displaying outstanding contact balance to absorb hits and keep working upfield. He has emerged as one of the Big Ten's most electric receivers after steadily building his game each year since redshirting in 2022. His 2024 breakout featured 28 catches for 594 yards (21.2 YPC) and seven touchdowns before exploding in 2025 with 58 catches for 804 yards and 11 touchdowns through nine games-plus 74 rushing yards and a score. Cooper thrives against zone coverage, finding voids and nestling into them with excellent football IQ. Per TruMedia, he has an incredible 16.57% catch rate over expectation, while generating an exceptional three yards of RAC over expectation per reception. He's a fearless competitor unafraid of contact or collision catches, doing the necessary dirty work that wins games. His ceiling projects as a high-volume WR2 who thrives in motion-heavy offenses that scheme touche's in space and maximize his run-after-catch explosiveness.
