Sixteen NFL names, four hidden groups. Find them all.

New every day4 groupsAbout 3 minFan
New board every day at midnight.
How to play

Pick four names you think belong together and submit. A right four locks in as a group; a wrong one costs a mistake, and three of four says so. Four mistakes and the board is over. Groups run easiest to hardest: yellow, green, blue, purple.

Every group is checked against our data before it ships: each name really fits it and no other name on the board does. Endless mode, more boards after today's, needs a free account.

NFL Connections, explained

NFL Connections is the Connections word game with football players. Sixteen names sit on the board, and they split into four groups of four: teammates on one franchise, a draft class, a college, No. 1 overall picks, Super Bowl MVPs, guys who share a last name. Pick four you think belong together and submit. Get it right and the group locks in with its colour; get it wrong and it costs one of your four mistakes. Groups run from yellow, the easiest, to purple, the hardest, and some names look like they fit two groups when only one is right. Every group is checked against our data before the board goes out.

How do you play NFL Connections?

Tap four names you think share something, then Submit. A right four becomes a group; a wrong one costs a mistake. Find all four groups before you make four mistakes.

What kinds of groups come up?

Players who played for the same team, the same college, the same draft class, a team's quarterbacks or receivers, No. 1 overall picks, Super Bowl MVPs, NFL MVPs, Heisman winners, and players who share a first or last name.

What does One away mean?

Three of the four names you picked belong to the same group. Swap one out.

Can a name fit two groups?

It can look that way, and that is the trick. Only one group is right for each name: before a board ships we check that no name on it fits a second group.

Is it the same board for everyone?

Yes. One board a day, the same sixteen names for everyone, so you can compare with your group chat.

Is it free?

Yes. No login, no download. A free account only saves your streak and puts your score on the leaderboard.
