Longerbeam is a fluid cornerback with excellent speed and developing coverage skills. He displays smooth transitions in his backpedal and has the recovery speed to make up ground when beaten initially. In man coverage, Longerbeam demonstrates the ability to mirror receivers' movements and stay in phase throughout routes. His technique at the line of scrimmage is improving, showing patience and proper hand placement in press coverage. In zone, Longerbeam demonstrates developing awareness and route recognition, breaking quickly on throws in front of him. He shows competitive toughness at the catch point, challenging receivers and disrupting passes.
