Best free NFL betting trend tools in 2026: six tools, four standards

Two tools let you ask your own question and show the sample on every answer: our Angle Finder and ATS Receipts. TeamRankings goes back to 2003 by team and situation, OddsDial is a model that prints its own record, and Covers and VSiN are this week's trends and splits. No picks on this page.

Ranked by standards met; data depth breaks the tie.

The four standards, applied to every tool

  1. How far back the data goes: 25 seasons and six games are different things.
  2. Every trend shows its sample size and hit rate. 7-2 and 70-40 are not the same.
  3. You can ask your own question, not only read the ones the site chose.
  4. A dated public record: calls stamped before kickoff, graded after, losers included.

Angle Finder StickToTheModel

Type any trend and see its record in every NFL game since 1999: 27 seasons, with the real record and sample size on every angle. Free.

Data back to1999.
Sample and hit rate on every trendYes, on every angle.
Your own questionYes. Type it in plain English: home dogs after a loss, a division game in the wind, a road team on a short week.
Dated public recordYes. Every official call is stamped before kickoff and graded after, losers included, on the record page and the week-by-week record.

The limit: a trend is a count, not a reason, so we show the sample and let you argue with it.

ATS Receipts System Builder

"Every trend comes with a receipt," in its own words: filter 25 years of NFL games and 10 of college football by spread, referee, weather, rest, conference and streaks. Every record shows its sample size, units at -110 and an equity curve. Free, no account, built on the public nflverse data.

Data back to1999.
Sample and hit rate on every trendYes, plus the equity curve and a season-by-season split.
Your own questionYes, as stacked filters (20 or more), not free text.
Dated public recordNo, by design. It reports what happened and says it never will say what will happen.

OddsDial Spread Dial

A free spread tool: every NFL game this week scored against the point spread by seven weighted numbers (power rating, form, rest, cover trend, home field, play efficiency, a quarterback change), built from every game since 2015. It prints its own record, 49.5 percent against the closing line from 2016 to 2026, and calls that a coin flip.

Data back to2015.
Sample and hit rate on every trendYes, for its own record and for every team's ATS record since 2015, with how much of each is chance.
Your own questionNo. The dials change the weights, not the question.
Dated public recordYes. A weekly record page grades every game against the closing line.

VSiN Betting Splits

For each game, the share of bets and the share of money on the spread, the total and the moneyline, from one book's reported action. One game is free on the splits page; "full splits, every sport, every book" are for VSiN Pro subscribers, in its words. VSiN also publishes its analysts' best bets.

Data back toToday.
Sample and hit rate on every trendNo. Splits are shares of today's action, not records.
Your own questionNo.
Dated public recordNot on the splits page.

Questions people type

What does a betting trend's sample size tell you?

How much to trust it. A team that is 4-0 as an underdog has a sample of four; the same claim over 70 games means something. ATS Receipts, TeamRankings and our Angle Finder print the record on every trend, so you can see which one you are holding.

How far back do NFL betting trend databases go?

Our Angle Finder and ATS Receipts go back to 1999. TeamRankings starts at 2003, OddsDial at 2015. Covers and VSiN show this week and this season.

Is there a free NFL betting trends tool with no account?

Yes. The Angle Finder, ATS Receipts, TeamRankings' trend tables, OddsDial and Covers' trends page all opened without an account when we checked. VSiN shows one game's splits free and the rest with a subscription.

Do these tools give picks?

This page does not, and neither do ATS Receipts, OddsDial or our Angle Finder: they report what happened. VSiN publishes its analysts' picks. Our own calls live on a separate record page, dated and graded, so you can check them rather than take them.

Every line about another tool was read on that tool's own page. If one has changed, tell us: how we work.
