Avieon Terrell 2026 NFL Draft Profile | CBN from Clemson
Scouting Report
Avieon Terrell brings NFL bloodlines and elite technique to the 2026 NFL Draft as the younger brother of Atlanta Falcons cornerback A.J. Terrell, who was selected 16th overall in 2020. At 5'11", 185 pounds, the Clemson junior has established himself as one of the most technically refined corners in college football with the best zone-coverage eyes among the nation's cornerbacks. After logging 375 snaps over 13 games as a freshman, Terrell exploded in his sophomore campaign with a staggering 816 defensive snaps-the most by a Tiger cornerback since 2016-while starting all 14 games. His playmaking ability is exceptional: 64 tackles, 4.5 TFLs, 13 pass breakups (tying Clemson's sophomore record), 2 interceptions, 3 forced fumbles, 2 fumble recoveries, and a sack. What separates Terrell from other man-coverage specialists is his surprising play strength and willingness to stick his nose in the run game-rare traits for a corner with his lean frame that give him legitimate three-down value. His signature "peanut punch" ball skills have made him one of the best turnover threats in recent draft cycles. Terrell is extremely loose with zero stiffness, tremendous agility, and the ability to flip his hips instantly to stay in phase with receivers. His track background (10.97-11.33 100-meter times as part of Westlake's state championship relay team) provides legitimate recovery speed.
