Cam Calhoun's case is built almost entirely on flashes. A member of Michigan's 2023 national championship team as a freshman, he has now played for three programs in three seasons. The Cincinnati native signed with the Wolverines out of Winton Woods as a four-star rated the No. 41 cornerback in the 2023 class, appeared in two games, and entered the portal that December. At Utah in 2024 he moved into the cornerback rotation after starter Kenan Johnson suffered a season-ending injury in the opener, and he recorded his first career interception in a Week 3 win over Utah State. He transferred again to Alabama for 2025 and played seven games with six tackles, a fumble recovery and a pass breakup, including an 18-snap outing against Louisiana-Monroe in which he broke up a pass. In January 2026 he made his third portal move, committing to Ohio State with two seasons of eligibility remaining after stops in the Big Ten, Big 12 and SEC. The projectable traits are the length and frame to develop as a press corner on the boundary, and he competes at the catch point. The body of work is the obvious problem. He played only 51 snaps across seven games in 2025, his average timed speed limits recovery against vertical routes, and he has never held a full-time starting role at any of his three programs. His technique and durability are essentially unproven, so the evaluation is theoretical until he earns snaps.
