Marshall is a long, physical cornerback with excellent press-man coverage skills and developing ball production. He displays fluid hips in coverage, transitioning smoothly from backpedal to forward movement. In press coverage, Marshall uses his length effectively to disrupt receivers at the line of scrimmage. He shows good recovery speed when beaten initially and the ability to close quickly on throws in front of him. Marshall demonstrates competitive toughness at the catch point, challenging receivers and disrupting passes. Against the run, he is a willing tackler who takes good angles to the ball carrier.
