Hancock is a fluid cornerback with excellent coverage skills and developing ball production. He displays smooth transitions in his backpedal and has the speed to carry receivers vertically. Hancock excels in man coverage, mirroring receivers' movements and staying in phase throughout routes. His technique at the line of scrimmage is improving, showing patience and proper hand placement in press coverage. In zone, Hancock demonstrates good awareness and route recognition, breaking quickly on throws in front of him. He shows competitive toughness at the catch point, challenging receivers and disrupting passes.
