Mansoor Delane is a versatile, technically refined cornerback whose sticky coverage ability and playmaking instincts have established him as the top-ranked corner in the 2026 NFL Draft class. At 6'1", 190 pounds, Delane combines ideal length with exceptional coverage technique that allows him to blanket receivers at the line of scrimmage. After starting his career at Virginia Tech where he earned second-team All-ACC honors in 2023 with 4 interceptions and 2 forced fumbles, Delane transferred to LSU to compete at the highest level of college football. His sophomore campaign was a mixed bag statistically (66.0 PFF coverage grade, allowing 34 catches for 570 yards), but his technique and ball skills remained evident throughout. Delane is exceptional in press coverage despite his lean frame, playing with disciplined technique and intelligent positioning. His fluid hips and quick feet allow him to mirror routes through the break while maintaining phase with receivers. As a ball hawk, Delane consistently attacks the catch point and has shown an elite ability to force turnovers through both interceptions and forced fumbles. His cerebral approach to coverage allows him to anticipate routes and jump breaks, though this can occasionally lead to overthinking against misdirection. Currently projected as a top-20 pick, Delane profiles as a true CB1 who can handle top receivers from Day 1.
