STM Take

Year-two tier 8 (#87) STTM finish for a CFL-pathway 2024 5th-round pick is on the developmental band for the rare CFL-to-NFL prospect class. The Toronto Argonauts 2023 CFL Most Outstanding Rookie award plus the unusual pathway give him real outlier-positive foundation. The 2026 question is whether Stiggers holds tier 8 or whether the role compresses to swing depth.

Stiggers came out of the CFL's Toronto Argonauts as the New York Jets' 5th-round pick (176th overall) in 2024 after winning the 2023 CFL Most Outstanding Rookie award and never playing college football in the United States. He spent his rookie year as developmental depth before emerging into a rotational CB role in 2025. His first STTM appearance comes in 2025 at tier 8 (#87), the year-two developmental band for the rare CFL-to-NFL pathway prospects.

Strengths

2023 CFL Most Outstanding Rookie award plus the rare CFL-to-NFL pathway as a 176th overall pick puts him in the rarest outlier-positive class at the CB position.
Toronto Argonauts CFL pedigree plus two years of NFL survival gives him real international-pathway veteran value.

Concerns

Single tier 8 finish without prior NFL STTM history caps the long-term projection certainty.
Jets' broader defensive identity instability plus the multi-year offensive rebuild compresses the structural support around Stiggers.

What to watch: Whether Stiggers holds tier 8 or better in 2026 with the Jets or whether the role compresses to swing depth.
