Bryant Wesco Jr. arrived at Clemson as a consensus top-35 national recruit with track bloodlines, his father a Louisiana Tech Hall of Fame triple jumper, and he produced immediately. As a true freshman in 2024 he caught 41 passes for 708 yards and five scores, and his 17.3 yards per catch was the best by a Clemson player with 40-plus receptions since Tee Higgins in 2019. He closed that year with a 143-yard, two-touchdown ACC Championship Game against SMU and collected Freshman All-American honors from multiple outlets. The 2025 sophomore season was trending toward a bigger leap before a spinal contusion suffered on a punt return against SMU in Week 8 shut him down. Through six full games he had 31 catches for 537 yards and a team-high six touchdowns, including back-to-back 100-yard outings against Troy and at Georgia Tech, and he became the fourth Tiger to reach 1,000 career receiving yards in 15 games.
