Drew Evans is a veteran Indiana interior lineman who enters 2026 as the Hoosiers' new starting center after spending his career at left guard. Listed at 6-4 and 307 pounds, he began his college career at Wisconsin in 2022 and transferred to Indiana ahead of the 2023 season. Fanspeak's scouting note says he has played 21 career games for the Hoosiers, every one of them a start at left guard. Injuries kept that number down: a season-ending injury before the November 9 game against Michigan in 2024, then four missed games late in 2025. When healthy he has been a fixture on one of the country's best lines, a unit named a Joe Moore Award semifinalist in 2024 and a finalist in 2025. He started 12 games in 2025 as Indiana opened with four straight 300-yard rushing games, a program record and the longest such Power 4 run since Baylor in 2017. Fanspeak also calls him the team's top pass blocker in that breakout season, with no sacks allowed. CBS Sports lists him as one of three returning line starters for the national champions, now projected at center. Silver and Black Pride names him among the four top centers in a strong 2027 class and expects him to do really well in the role. The draft community is cooler, with Fanspeak's consensus board putting him No. 288 and an ADP near 226, a late Day 3 range. Staying healthy and handling the move to center will decide his stock this fall.
