Scouting Report

Texas A&M · 2026 draft class

Tyler Onyedim is a classic penetrating 3-technique defensive tackle from Texas A&M who showed excellent burst and quickness during the 2026 East-West Shrine Bowl practices constantly finding himself in the backfield and disrupting plays from the interior. At 6-3 and 290 pounds with 34-and-a-quarter-inch arms Onyedim has good length and a quick first step that allows him to slash past offensive linemen and generate pressure up the middle. His ability to penetrate gaps and disrupt both the run and pass game from the interior made him one of the standout defensive tackles at the Shrine Bowl with evaluators noting his high-tempo disruptive style. He was ranked 217th on the SportsTalk Big Board and earned enough attention for a Packers-focused draft analysis to highlight him as a prospect who breaks the mold at the defensive tackle position. His Texas A&M experience in the SEC provides exposure to elite offensive line competition. However detailed scouting data from major outlets is limited and his college statistics are not widely available from public sources. His evaluation will depend on Combine testing to confirm whether his Shrine Bowl flash represents his true ability or a small-sample spike against all-star game competition.
