Anez Cooper 2026 NFL Draft Profile | OG from Miami (FL)
Scouting Report
Anez Cooper is a stout physical guard from Miami who has been a three-year starter at right guard and one of the most experienced offensive linemen in the 2026 class. At 6-6 and 345 pounds Cooper has a wide-bodied frame with a dense thick build and great length that he uses to establish first meaningful contact and wall off defenders. He plays long to maximize his reach and fires his feet to stall defenders early in the rep using active feet paired with mass to generate functional positional leverage. Cooper has good power and jolt to feed down linemen on double-teams and jar rushers during jump-sets and he brings a physical chippy demeanor enjoying imposing his will on defenders. He started as a true freshman during the final four games of his first season and earned two honorable mention All-ACC selections before a second-team All-ACC honor in 2025 developing under an elite Miami offensive line coaching staff alongside projected first-rounder Francis Mauigoa. However Cooper plays with an upright style and middling reactionary and lateral quickness that limits his ability to sustain blocks late in reps particularly when the running back changes course and forces him to adjust. He will take the cheese when being set up as a pass-protector especially against wide alignments exposing his edges and leaving him vulnerable to clean losses when isolated in pass protection. His mediocre movement skills cap his ability to sustain and redirect against quicker interior rushers. Bleacher Report graded him 6.5 as a role player ranking him 160th overall and IOL22 comparing him to Quinton Spain. He profiles best as a swing guard with low-end starter upside in a downhill inside-zone or gap-based offense that leans on play-action.
