Billy Schrauth 2026 NFL Draft Profile | OG from Notre Dame
Scouting Report
Billy Schrauth is a technically sound interior offensive lineman from Notre Dame who was a team captain in 2025 before a season-ending MCL sprain limited him to seven starts. A former four-star recruit Schrauth started 19 career games at left guard for the Irish showing meaningful growth on his 2025 tape before the injury. Brandon Thorn of Bleacher Report graded him at 7.1 comparing him to Austin Corbett as a reliable NFL guard who wins with technique leverage and play strength. Schrauth is a loose fluid mover out of his stance with good lateral quickness and redirect skills. He keeps his elbows connected to his hips through contact with excellent leg drive to close space and displace defenders as a drive blocker. His anchor is solid using hip throw-back and foot rooting to grind down bull rushers. He takes efficient angles on climbs and screens delivering knock-back power at the point of attack with a flat-back posture and consistent effort. However he will chase setup moves and drift when isolated against skilled pass rushers. His injury history is concerning with ankle and knee injuries in each of his two starting seasons limiting his total experience. Medical evaluations at the combine will be critical to his draft stock. PFF ranked him 107th overall while Mel Kiper listed him as Guard 6 and SportsTalk had him at 134th overall. Schrauth projects as a Day 2 to Day 3 pick in the round 3-4 range with starter upside if he stays healthy.
