Cashius Howell is one of the most productive pass rushers in college football-a high-motor, dynamic edge defender who led the SEC with 11.5 sacks in 2025 after transferring from Bowling Green to Texas A&M. At 6'2", 249 pounds with sub-31" arms, Howell's undersized frame will take him off some teams' boards, but for teams employing rush OLBs in odd and hybrid alignments, he has immense appeal as a pass-rush catalyst. Originally a three-star recruit from Rockhurst High School in Kansas City, Howell spent three years at Bowling Green where he led the MAC with 9.5 sacks in 2023, helping the Falcons to their first winning season since 2015. His transfer to Texas A&M unlocked another level of production against SEC competition. Howell combines explosiveness, athleticism, and natural power to physically dominate as a pass rusher. He possesses an extensive arsenal including cross-chops, clubs, spin moves, ghost moves, and devastating speed-to-power conversions that collapse the pocket. His motor runs hot from snap one to the final whistle, pursuing plays across the formation with relentless energy. Against the run, Howell has the strength to set the edge efficiently, working upfield and anchoring to hold the defense's edge. His blend of traits, film, and production has earned him a potential first-round grade despite the arm length concerns.
