STM Take
First STTM top-50 finish at tier 6 (#48) in year six as a 2020 UDFA puts Rozeboom in the late-bloomer journeyman class. The South Dakota State Jackrabbits back-to-back FCS national championship pedigree plus the change of scenery to Carolina gives him basic late-bloomer foundation. The 2026 question is whether Rozeboom holds tier 6 or better with the Panthers or whether the role compresses to swing depth.
Rozeboom came out of South Dakota State (FCS) as a 2020 undrafted free agent signed by the Los Angeles Rams after winning back-to-back FCS national championships with the Jackrabbits. He spent four years with the Rams before signing with the Carolina Panthers in 2024 free agency. His first STTM top-50 finish comes in 2025 at tier 6 (#48), a year-six emergence for a Day 3 UDFA.
Strengths
- South Dakota State back-to-back FCS national championship pedigree plus six years of NFL survival as a 2020 UDFA gives him real journeyman veteran value.
- First top-50 STTM finish in year six plus the Carolina structural anchor role confirms the developmental ceiling is reachable.
Concerns
- Single tier 6 finish without prior top-100 STTM history puts the 2025 production on a small sample with downside risk.
- Carolina's broader defensive identity instability plus the multi-year rebuild compresses the structural support around Rozeboom.
What to watch: Whether Rozeboom holds tier 6 or better in 2026 with the Panthers or whether the role compresses to swing depth.
