Jalen Farmer 2026 NFL Draft Profile | OG from Kentucky
Scouting Report
Jalen Farmer is a sturdy powerful guard prospect from Kentucky who anchors quickly and consistently displaces down linemen on double-teams but whose average movement skills limit his effectiveness on climbs and leave his edges exposed in true one-on-one pass protection. The 6-5 318-pound interior lineman entered college at Florida as a 3-star recruit in the 2022 class before transferring to Kentucky after two seasons as a backup. He started two years at right guard for the Wildcats and accepted his invite to the 2026 Senior Bowl. Farmer possesses a stout sturdy build with good length and heavy hands that deliver a jolt on contact and set a firm anchor once latched. His very good play strength allows him to lift and displace down linemen on double-teams and base blocks. He is an effective puller who uses force and grip strength to uproot and overrun targets at the second level. However Farmer shows erratic snap timing that results in being tardy to spots and landmarks on backside cut-offs and when reaching widely-aligned rushers. His soft edges in pass protection stem from a wide base paired with late hands allowing rushers to gain leverage. He will take the cheese when being set up by pass rushers with marginal recovery skills to get out of compromising positions once beaten. Bleacher Report graded him at 6.7 as a role player and 4th-round projection ranking him 143rd overall and IOL18 comparing him to Asim Richards. His best fit is in a downhill play-action-oriented scheme where his power can be maximized and his lateral limitations minimized.
