Jeremiah Wright 2026 NFL Draft Profile | OG from Auburn
Scouting Report
Jeremiah Wright is a wide-bodied powerful guard prospect from Auburn who entered the program as a 3-star recruit in the 2020 class and bounced between defensive and offensive line before settling on the offensive side in 2022. He became a two-year starter logging 24 consecutive starts at right guard with spot duty at left guard. At 6-5 and 348 pounds Wright has a massive frame with good thickness throughout his build that he uses to uproot and dig out targets on double-team feeds pulls and down blocks. He is a chippy physical presence who delivers body blows with his size-strength combination and is an opportunistic finisher in the run game. Wright flashes the ability to stay square patient and inside-out in one-on-one pass protection maximizing his considerable size to wall off pass rushers. However his marginal foot quickness and redirect skills cap his recovery ability when initially beaten or out of position. He is overly reliant on brute force in the run game leading to overextension and subpar leverage and sustain. His gallop technique on double-teams leaves too much air in his footwork creating leakage and quick penetration opportunities for defenders. Bleacher Report graded him 6.3 as a developmental prospect and 5th-round projection ranking him 173rd overall and IOL23 comparing him to Anthony Belton. His best fit is in a power-oriented scheme that values mass and physicality at the point of attack.
