Kayden McDonald has emerged as one of the most dominant interior defensive linemen in college football-a massive, powerful nose tackle who anchors Ohio State's defense that holds opponents to just 8.2 points and 84.5 rush yards per game. At 6'3", 326 pounds, McDonald enjoyed a massive breakout in 2025 after recording zero starts, zero sacks, and just 24 tackles over his first two seasons. He crushed those numbers with 52 tackles, eight TFLs, three sacks, and two forced fumbles en route to Big Ten Defensive Lineman of the Year honors. McDonald is built with natural leverage, exceptional compact mass, and great proportional length-all of which he combines with near-elite linear explosiveness to deliver menacing point-of-attack power and stacking strength. His devastating anchor allows him to hold the point against any center-guard combination in football. McDonald literally throws 315-pound centers aside with incredible play strength while tracking the football exceptionally well through traffic.
