Keylan Rutledge is a long, broad-framed mauler who has developed into one of the most decorated interior offensive linemen in recent Georgia Tech history. The Cleveland, Tennessee native arrived at Middle Tennessee State as a three-star recruit with remarkable athletic credentials-he was a state champion shot-putter and a 1,000-point, 1,000-rebound basketball player whose physical tools translated immediately to the trenches. After earning Conference USA All-Freshman honors in 2022 and First Team All-Conference USA recognition in 2023, Rutledge transferred to Georgia Tech before the 2024 season. His transition nearly didn't happen on the field at all-a severe foot injury sustained in a car accident on December 7, 2023 forced him to miss virtually the entire offseason, including all of spring practice. Despite that setback, Rutledge became a first-team All-ACC selection in 2024 after starting 13 games at right guard. In 2025, he took another leap, becoming Georgia Tech's first back-to-back first-team All-American since Calvin Johnson while earning honors from Sporting News and Sports Info Solutions. The 6'4", 330-pound junior allowed zero sacks across 801 regular-season snaps according to Pro Football Focus while ranking among the nation's top 10 guards in overall blocking, run blocking, and pass blocking. Rutledge possesses prototypical size with a hardnose style of play-he plays through the whistle and constantly tries to sit defenders down. His anchor strength and heavy hands already play at an NFL caliber, and his willingness to finish blocks with violence suggests he won't need much coaxing to embrace professional trenches. However, his pad level is inconsistent and leverage can be an issue against stronger players. NFL coache's will need to drill pad level discipline and refine his pass-set mechanics against speed rushers.
