Scouting Report

IOWA · 2026 draft class

Logan Jones is a bulldozing center from Iowa who has established himself as one of the most dominant run blockers at the position in the 2026 draft class. The 6-3, 293-pound former 4-star recruit is an absolute mauler who creates his own running lanes with power and leverage, knocking defenders off their paths and taking them completely out of plays. Jones has been a model of durability and consistency with 39 career starts entering his senior season, earning Third-Team All-Big Ten honors in 2023 before breaking through as a First-Team All-Big Ten selection in 2024. He is a multi-sport athlete who lettered in track and basketball and won the state title in shot put, giving him the athletic base that translates to explosiveness at the point of attack. Jones is strong both at the point of attack and when moving, showing the ability to recover extremely well when initially beaten. His competitive toughness and reliability make him a plug-and-play center projection at the next level. Jones was named to the Lombardi Award Watch List alongside Iowa teammates Aaron Graves and Gennings Dunker, recognizing his impact as one of the premier offensive linemen in college football. However, his pass blocking remains a developmental area, with a 59.4 PFF pass blocking grade lagging significantly behind his 73.0 run blocking grade entering 2025. At 293 pounds, he may need to add mass to anchor consistently against NFL-caliber interior rushers. Jones profiles as a Day 2-3 center whose dominant run blocking and durability will appeal to teams running power and gap schemes.
