Namdi Obiazor 2026 NFL Draft Profile | LB from TCU
Scouting Report
Namdi Obiazor is a fifth-year senior linebacker at TCU who converted from safety to linebacker and has made an impact as both a run and pass defender. Originally a defensive back at the junior college level, Obiazor was named an NJCAA First-Team All-American at Iowa Western Community College in 2021 before arriving at TCU. He has been a two-time All-Big 12 Honorable Mention and returns as one of the most experienced players on the roster. He has started 25 games over the last two seasons and has played in 40 games since arriving from Iowa Western. A sure tackler, Obiazor has exceeded 80 total tackles over each of the last two seasons and has broken up six passes at TCU while snagging his first career interception against LIU during the 2024 campaign. His safety background gives him natural coverage instincts that translate well to the linebacker position. Obiazor was invited to the 2026 Senior Bowl and 2026 NFL Combine as a linebacker. His ability to play in space and cover tight ends stems from his defensive back roots. He plays with high football IQ and processes plays quickly.
