Olaivavega "Vega" Ioane is the top pure guard in the 2026 NFL Draft class thanks to his elite ability to halt and generate movement on command. At 6'4", 328 pounds, the Penn State redshirt junior entered the program as a 3-star recruit in 2022 with a unique backstory-he didn't step on a football field until his sophomore year at Graham-Kapowsin High School without his parents' knowledge, as they prioritized academics over athletics. By his senior year, his team went undefeated and captured a Class 4A state championship while averaging 456 yards and 44 points per game. Ioane started 16 games at left guard in 2024 for Penn State, earning All-Big Ten second-team honors with remarkable discipline-just five penalties across 2,309 career snaps. He uses his frame to be an elite pass blocker with excellent technique and good hand placement. His build empowers a stout anchor that stalls bull rushe's on the spot and prevents pocket collapse. Ioane weaponizes his mass with powerful jump sets that immediately crush defensive linemen's momentum.
