Scouting Report
T.J. Moore does his best work eating cushion and threatening the top of the coverage. A Tampa Catholic product who put up 92 catches for 2,293 yards and 30 touchdowns over his junior and senior seasons, he arrived at Clemson in 2024 as a consensus top-100 recruit, a five-star per 247Sports. He caught 45 passes for 651 yards and five scores as a true freshman, and he and fellow freshman Bryant Wesco Jr. made Clemson the first power conference team since at least 2000 to feature two first-year players each topping 650 receiving yards and five touchdowns in the same season. When Wesco went down in 2025, Moore stepped into the clear WR1 role, started all 13 games and led the Tigers with 52 receptions for 837 yards and four touchdowns, earning third-team All-ACC from Phil Steele. He caught 52 balls with only two drops on 82 targets and stacked 399 yards after the catch on the quick game, with a 124-yard, two-score afternoon against SMU showing the big-play range on a free release. The gaps are physical and situational. He is a poor blocker whose effort and technique both lag on the perimeter, he won only six of 18 contested targets, and his slim frame lets stronger corners reroute him. A one-yard outing against Troy shows what happens when the free releases disappear.
