Scouting Report

Penn State · 2026 draft class

Dani Dennis-Sutton looks like he was built in a lab to play edge defender in the NFL. At 6'5" and 272 pounds with long arms, the Penn State junior has the prototypical size and length to be a quality run-defender and solid power-rusher at the next level. A former 5-star recruit in the 2022 class, Dennis-Sutton made an immediate impact with 17 tackles, 3.5 TFLs and three sacks as a true freshman to earn True Freshman All-American honors from ESPN. His role expanded each year-26 tackles, 6 TFLs and 3.5 sacks as a sophomore for third-team All-Big Ten honors, then a breakout 2024 campaign opposite Abdul Carter with 42 tackles, 13 TFLs and 8.5 sacks. With Carter off to the NFL, Dennis-Sutton closed his 2024 season strong with 4.5 sacks, 6 TFLs and an interception across three College Football Playoff games. In 2025, he has 29 tackles, three sacks, three forced fumbles, two PBUs, and a blocked punt. His motor allows him to stay with plays, and his instincts enable him to be in position to make plays consistently. Dennis-Sutton's thick frame and power base project best as a 5-technique in a 3-4 front where his ability to lock out and control blockers would shine immediately.
