First STTM ranking at tier 2 (#12) as a 2024 UDFA second-year center is one of the most outlier-positive draft-slot-vs-outcome arcs in football. The North Dakota State two-time FCS national championship pedigree plus the Seattle position-specific coaching appears to have unlocked the ceiling immediately. The 2026 question is whether Sundell holds tier 3 or better across a full second season or whether 2025 was a context-driven one-year peak.
Sundell came out of North Dakota State as a 2024 undrafted free agent signed by the Seattle Seahawks after winning back-to-back FCS national championships with the Bison (2021, 2023).
