Romello Height has taken the long road to NFL Draft relevance, bouncing from Auburn (2020) to USC (2022) to Georgia Tech (2024) before finally landing at Texas Tech for his sixth collegiate season in 2025-where he has had the best year of his career with a career-high 9 sacks and 10.5 TFLs. The 6'3", 240-pound edge rusher has helped Texas Tech win its first Big 12 Championship and reach the College Football Playoff with a 12-1 record and the third-ranked scoring defense nationally. Height currently holds the third-best overall PFF defense grade of any edge rusher in the country with an elite 92.6 mark. He's been clocked at 21.82 mph at 240 pounds, showcasing rare speed for the position. Height is very quick with impressive change-of-direction skills that allow him to glide from one edge to the other and beat offensive tackles across their faces. He pairs his great athletic traits with a fairly deep repertoire of pass-rush moves, including one of the best spin moves in the 2026 class. His coverage ability is legitimately rare for an edge rusher, showing comfort dropping into zones and carrying tight ends vertically. However, size limitations become glaring when tackles get hands on him cleanly-he gets stone-walled and struggles to disengage at 240 pounds.
