STM Take

Tier 7 (#55) rookie to tier 5 (#36) sophomore for a 137th overall 5th-round pick puts Still on a strong developmental arc. The Maryland Big Ten 5th-round origin plus the Chargers' Jim Harbaugh defensive scheme gives him real college foundation. The 2026 question is whether Still crosses into tier 4 territory or whether the structural tier 5 finish becomes the stable baseline.

Still came out of Maryland as the Los Angeles Chargers' 5th-round pick (137th overall) in 2024. He has spent two years anchoring the Chargers' CB rotation under Jim Harbaugh's defensive system. His STTM career runs tier 7 (#55) rookie to tier 5 (#36) sophomore, a 19-spot one-year climb.

Strengths

19-spot year-over-year improvement from tier 7 (#55) rookie to tier 5 (#36) sophomore puts him on a strong developmental arc.
Maryland Big Ten 5th-round origin plus the Chargers' Jim Harbaugh defensive scheme creates the structural environment for development.

Concerns

Career STTM range capped at tier 5 (#36) flags the realistic ceiling at top-40 CB rather than Pro Bowl territory.
Chargers' broader defensive identity around Khalil Mack's primary pass-rush priority compresses Still's structural snap share.

What to watch: Whether Still crosses into tier 4 (top 30) in 2026, the standard year-three threshold for Day 3 CB picks on stable-starter trajectories.
