Ferguson is a versatile tight end with good size, reliable hands, and developing blocking ability. He creates separation with fluid route running and good footwork at the top of routes. Ferguson's hands are consistent, catching the ball cleanly away from his body and securing it through contact. His frame and body control allow him to be effective in contested catch situations and in the red zone. After the catch, Ferguson shows good vision and enough strength to break tackles. As a blocker, he displays proper technique and competitive toughness.
