Schwesinger is an instinctive linebacker with excellent play recognition and tackling ability. He processes quickly, recognizing plays and triggering downhill with decisiveness. Schwesinger takes proper angles in pursuit, limiting cutback lanes and finishing tackles with good form. In coverage, he shows awareness in zone and the athleticism to match up with running backs in man coverage. Schwesinger's football IQ is evident in how he communicates and adjusts the defense pre-snap, quickly recognizing offensive formations and tendencies.
