STM Take

A plug-in rotation edge fighting for a roster spot.

The case for

Five years of NFL survival as a 2021 Virginia UDFA across three teams gives him real journeyman EDGE résumé.
Virginia ACC UDFA origin plus the multi-team experience gives him real plug-in pass-rush rotation veteran depth value.

The worry

Career STTM range typically tier 8 confirms the structural ceiling has rarely climbed above rotational depth.
Las Vegas's broader defensive identity instability plus the multi-year rebuild compresses the structural support around Snowden.

What to watch: Whether Snowden holds an active-roster spot for the full 2026 Raiders season or whether the role compresses to practice-squad rotation.

Full take and bio

Five years of NFL survival as a 2021 Virginia UDFA puts Snowden in the rare journeyman EDGE class. The Virginia ACC UDFA origin plus the multi-team experience give him basic plug-in pass-rush rotation veteran value. The 2026 question is whether Snowden holds an active-roster spot or whether the role compresses to practice-squad rotation.

Snowden came out of Virginia as a 2021 undrafted free agent signed by the Chicago Bears. He bounced through the Bears, Saints, and now Raiders across five NFL seasons.
