Oliver is an explosive edge defender with an impressive first step and developing pass rush repertoire. He displays excellent get-off at the snap, often beating offensive tackles around the edge before they can set. As a pass rusher, Oliver demonstrates good bend and flexibility, flattening to the quarterback after turning the corner. He shows developing hand usage, employing a variety of moves to defeat blockers. Against the run, Oliver is improving at setting the edge and maintaining gap discipline. He plays with high motor and competitive toughness on every snap.
