Scouting Report

USC · 2026 draft class

Makai Lemon is pound-for-pound the toughest receiver in the nation and terrorizes defenses after the catch. Playing both in the slot and outside as the Z-receiver, his toughness, spatial awareness, and tackle-breaking prowess enable him to consistently gain yards after the catch. Lemon entered USC as a 4-star recruit in the 2023 class and has emerged as USC's top receiver with a career year in 2025. His in-space playmaking and ability to make defenders miss with good lateral agility and cuts make him dangerous with the ball. Lemon has a strong set of hands, plucking the football out of the air away from his frame. His toughness shines when working in the middle of the field as he does the dirty work in short and intermediate areas without backing down. He plays bigger than his size and is an adequate run blocker who doesn't back down at the point of attack.
