Andrew Sprague grew up in Kansas City and starred at Rockhurst High School as a two-way lineman who helped the school reach the Class 6 state semifinals, and he committed to Michigan over Notre Dame as a consensus four-star ranked inside the top 120 nationally. He redshirted in 2024, appearing in four games before making his first career start at right tackle in the ReliaQuest Bowl against Alabama, then won the job outright and held Michigan's right side for all 12 games in 2025, logging more than 700 snaps. He earned honorable mention All-Big Ten from both coaches and media and shared Offensive Player of the Week honors after the win at Nebraska, and his Michigan State tape showed the finished version: clean protection and real run-game movement on the same afternoon.
