He displays impressive straight-line speed, stretching defenses vertically and creating big-play opportunities. As a route runner, Thornton is improving, working to create separation with more precise breaks and head fakes. At the catch point, he shows good body control, adjusting to passes in the air and making over-the-shoulder catches. Thornton demonstrates developing hands, working to catch away from his body consistently. His length and speed combination presents matchup problems for defensive backs.
