2024 DROY plus tier 2 (#10) sophomore breakout puts Verse on the fastest pace of any 2024 rookie class edge defender toward the top-10 tier. The Florida State back-to-back ACC DPOY honors plus the Albany FCS-to-Power-5 path gives him the rare developmental trajectory. The 2026 question is whether Verse earns his first Pro Bowl plus crosses into tier 1 (top 5) or whether the year-three sophomore-jump pace stabilizes at tier 2.

Verse came out of Florida State as the Los Angeles Rams' 1st-round pick (19th overall) in 2024 after transferring from Albany (FCS) and earning back-to-back ACC Defensive Player of the Year honors at Florida State.
