2022 Pro Bowl plus the post-ACL return puts Gary in the small group of edge defenders who have recovered into structural starter ceilings without quite reaching the pre-injury tier 2 peak. The Michigan All-American pedigree plus seven years of Packers starter reps gives him real veteran value. The 2026 question is whether Gary returns to tier 2 territory now that the Micah Parsons addition reduces opposite-side pressure, or whether tier 3 becomes the stable late-prime baseline.

Gary came out of Michigan as the Green Bay Packers' 1st-round pick (12th overall) in 2019 after earning back-to-back All-American honors. He made the 2022 Pro Bowl before tearing his ACL midseason, then returned in 2023 and has anchored the Packers' edge across seven seasons. His STTM career runs tier 2 (#13) in 2022 pre-ACL, tier 3 (#19) in 2024, and tier 3 (#21) in 2025.
