Germie Bernard 2026 NFL Draft Profile | WR from Alabama
Scouting Report
Germie Bernard is a high-quality complementary receiver who has traveled a winding road through college football-making stops at Michigan State, Washington, and now Alabama-to emerge as one of the SEC's most reliable targets. At 6'1", 204 pounds, Bernard followed Coach Kalen DeBoer from Washington to Alabama and has become Ty Simpson's favorite target during the quarterback's monumental 2025 rise. Through seven games, Bernard has 51 catches for 700 yards and 6 touchdowns. His versatility allows him to align at any receiver position or even in the backfield. Bernard is already a high-end route runner with an excellent feel for tempo, depth, and spacing against zone coverage. He has a working release package and quickly identifies coverage to find openings. His strong hands catch the ball away from his body and in high-traffic areas, and he's fearless working over the middle. Bernard possesses a muscular frame with good play strength, maintaining contact balance to evade defenders and gain yards after the catch with good acceleration. Perhaps most impressively, he's an incredibly willing blocker with stellar play strength and technique-his ability on the boundary does a great deal toward springing outside runs. While he may never be a WR1, his combination of route running, toughness, and blocking makes him a quality WR2/WR3 with mid-Day 2 appeal.
