Alex Harkey took a winding path to becoming an NFL Draft prospect, developing through multiple stops before emerging as a solid right tackle for Oregon's championship-caliber offense in 2025. The 6'6", 327-pound lineman began his career at Colorado, appearing in 12 games as a redshirt freshman in 2022 at right guard. He then transferred to Texas State, playing four games in 2023 before finding his home at Oregon as a right tackle. In 2024, Harkey started all 12 games at right tackle for Texas State, earning All-Sun Belt Third Team honors-experience that prepared him for the jump to Oregon's elite offensive line. As a member of the Ducks' 2025 squad, Harkey proved to be a solid blocker showing size and strength at the point of attack. His physical profile is imposing: a stoutly-built, rugged presence with solid raw power and a nasty mentality to deliver knockout shots. Harkey brings an edge as a finisher, consistently running his feet with the intent of burying defenders. He's quick off the ball with solid agility, and his ability to generate power through contact makes him an effective run blocker. However, Harkey shows marginal body control, leverage, and consistency that result in an unreliable down-to-down blocker. He's susceptible to being slipped cleanly in pass protection and across his face in the run game. While his experience spans 42 career games, he remains raw enough to project upside as a late Day 3 or UDFA dart throw at guard. His best fit is likely as a swing tackle or guard with development potential.
